AN ARTISTIC teenager has put everyone in the picture about where her priorities lie.

Danyelle Woodmansey focused on people and relationships rather than material acquisitions when she entered a calendar painting competition on the theme of The Things We Need in Life.

The 14-year-old's drawing was overall winner of a 2004 community calendar competition organised by ten chemical, steel and power generating companies on Teesside.

It is the second consecutive year the Eston Park School pupil has won the contest and she received a certificate and gift vouchers.

The competition is open to the 22 schools nearest the industrial sites of Wilton, Billingham, North Tees and Corus Redcar and the calendars are distributed free to 20,000 homes.

As well as featuring 12 of the children's drawings, the calendar includes safety advice and information on the times of plant alarm testing.

Competition judges included Councillor Ann Cains, the Mayor of Stockton, and Coun Norah Cooney, Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland. It was sponsored by Uniqema, Lucite International, Petroplus, Huntsman, Invista, Corus, Terra Nitrogen UK Limited, DuPont SA, pxlimited and SembCorp Utilities Teesside.
