POLICE have appealed for motorists to be more vigilant after a spate of thefts from cars at Teesside Park over the weekend.
Five cars parked outside the Showcase Cinema were broken into on Boxing Day.
Thieves smashed their way into two more cars outside the cinema and three elsewhere on the retail park the following day.
A police spokeswoman said belongings such as car radios and stereos were among the items stolen."
PC Ken Taylor, of Stockton crime reduction team, said: "We would advise people to keep all valuables out of sight; locked in the boot if possible.
"If you are going sales shopping, keep those tempting bags well hidden and make several trips if at all possible.
