A CAMPAIGN to help working parents find the right childcare for their youngsters has been launched.
Sunderland's Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership (EYDCP) is holding a series of lunches for employers on Wearside.
Geoff Dorrity, partnership and development team manager, said: "Our aim is to support local employers in creating better work-life balance policies for their employees, whether that involves supplying staff with information about the different childcare options available or helping an organisation establish its own childcare provision."
Human resource managers from the public sector attended the last event, where EYDCP workers outlined steps that can be made to offer staff support.
The partnership is part of the Education Directorate at Sunderland City Council. Its long-term aim is to create childcare that enables parents and carers to return to work or training.
