FANS of the new television series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet can catch its stars reprising their roles on stage next month.
Nev, Oz and Dennis, better known as Geordie actors Tim Healy, Jimmy Nail and Kevin Whately, will appear at the third Sunday for Sammy concert at Newcastle City Hall, on Sunday, February 1.
The show's writers, Dick Clements and Ian Le Frenais, have been busy scripting two new Auf Wiedersehen Pet scenes for the event.
It was founded four years ago as a charity concert in memory of Tyneside actor Sammy Johnson, who died aged 49.
So far, the concerts have raised more than £100,000, which has been used to help people in the North-East pursue a career in the performing arts.
Tim Healy, who plays Captain Hook in this year's panto at Newcastle's Theatre Royal, said: "We never expected, after the first Sunday for Sammy concerts, that this would spawn a whole new interest in Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
"We also did not imagine how popular the City Hall shows would become.
"Every time we attract new stars to the show who love the experience of being live at a great venue with one of the best audiences in the country -Geordies."
The line-up includes Brian Johnson, from rock band AC/DC, former football star Peter Beardsley, Brendan Healy, Denise Welch and some of her friends from her days on Coronation Street.
Also performing is up-and-coming Newcastle band Carma, who were helped out with a grant from the fund.
