ONE of the country's most popular bands is marching back to the region by popular demand.
When the Band of the Royal Marines played at the Yorkshire Air Museum, near York, nearly three years ago, the museum was inundated with requests for a repeat performance.
Later this year they will be performing a concert in the setting of the Canadian Memorial Hangar on September 4.
A museum spokesman said: "The band were very keen to fit the concert into their busy schedule, as it remains one of their more memorable venues."
The concert is being held as part of the Museum's Combined Services Memorial Weekend.
Proceeds will also support the Soldiers, Sailors and Air Forces Association, in addition to the Yorkshire Air Museum and Allied Air Forces Memorial Trust. For details, call the museum, on (01904) 608595.
