A men's choir is on the lookout for new voices to join its ranks.
The Lyons Male Voice Choir resumes its rehearsals on Friday and particularly hopes to recruit tenors.
The choir recently performed carols to members of St Andrew's Church, Blackhall, and the residents of the Moorside House and The Laurels residential homes in Hetton-le-Hole.
The choir's first rehearsal of 2004 will be on Friday between 7.15pm and 9pm in the Elemore Community Hall, Brickgarth, Easington Lane.
Choir spokesman Bryan Cooper said: "If you are interested in joining the choir we are always looking for more members, especially tenors."
For details, call choir secretary Phil Rosser on 0191-586 3869 or turn up at rehearsals.
