A SERIES of 90-minute fitness sessions will kick off at Guisborough Forest and Walkway on Sunday.
The six sessions, which will be running between 10.30am to noon, are being organised by one of the walkway's volunteers, qualified athletics coach Jill Sexton.
Ms Sexton, who is also a member of New Marske Harriers and a keen runner, hopes lots of people will take part in the event.
She said: "We'll see who turns up and then accommodate them.
"Maybe people will have done a bit of jogging or a bit of walking, so we'll start off nice and easy.
"You won't need to be able to run six miles."
Countryside warden Deborah Jefferson added: "We hope it will be a good way of losing those extra pounds put on at Christmas and New Year, as well as enjoying a lovely environment.
There is a fee of £1 per session or £5 for the full course. For more information, contact the walkway on (01287) 631132.
