CLEVELAND Fire Brigade's modernisation plans will be outlined at a meeting in Hartlepool tomorrow.
Bob Scott, the brigade's district manager for Hartlepool, will give a presentation on the Integrated Risk Management Plan at the North Area Police and Community Safety Consultative Forum, West View Community Centre, Miers Avenue, from 10am.
He said: "The plan, which sets out the brigade's modernisation plans, highlights the increased emphasis we are placing on preventing fires rather than just putting them out.
"I will be explaining how we will be carrying out home risk assessments and I will be more than happy to answer people's questions afterwards."
Councillor Edna Wright, chairwoman of the forum, said: "Fire safety in the home is a particularly important issue and I would urge people to attend tomorrow's meeting to find out more about the brigade's plans."
Updates on police and community safety will be given.
