POLICE are asking shoppers to help them investigate an attempted abduction.
The incident occurred between 10.30am and 10.50pm on December 29, when a ten-year-old girl was waiting for her mother outside the Iceland store in the Cleveland Shopping Centre, Middlesbrough.
A man approached the girl and tried to link her arm then took a more forceful grip of her lower arm. She managed to break free before running into the store.
Police believe that someone shopping in the centre may have seen a dark-haired girl in dark clothes struggling with a man.
Witnesses are asked to contact police on (01642) 249 406 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
