YOUNGSTERS using a small patch of land on a Darlington estate to play football could get some netting for their goal posts.
Firthmoor Community Safety Partnership is considering making improvements to the goalposts on land between Pateley Moor Crescent and the railway line.
At the moment, the young players keep losing footballs over the fence behind the goal posts, and fence posts are being repeatedly damaged when the youngsters retrieve them.
At a partnership meeting yesterday, members discussed the possibilities of improving either the goal or the fence behind it.
