A TRADITIONAL pantomime has been given a modern day twist for two performances in Crook Civic Hall tomorrow.
Wear Valley theatre group Jack Drum Arts have used their production of Red Riding Hood to explore social topics relevant to children and the elderly such as stranger danger, family relationships and isolation.
Members devised the show along with Age Concern County Durham, who helped with production costs, using the relationship between Red Riding Hood and her grandmother to examine family issues.
Tickets are £2 for waged adults and £1 for concessions. Shows are at 1.15 and 7.00 pm.
Telephone (01388) 529044 for bookings or turn up on the door.
