Tow Law Coors

Tow Law New Market A stretched their lead at the top of the table to 12 points after they won their re-arranged match at Sunniside Comedian for the loss of only two points. This moves the New Market A clear of their only real contenders for the title, Newhouse Club by the twelve points but they also have a match in hand.

The Comedian's two points came in the singles, where Bill Railton and Colin Edwards were successful. The visiting singles winners were Arthur Atkinson, Kenneth Atkinson, Bob McFadden and Colin Armstrong with the two trebles points and the three doubles points being added.

There was a surprise in the captain's game when George Whitfield took the points for the Comedian by beating John Parkin. This leaves the New Market only one point clear in the Captain's Table of Billy Row Club, who have played an extra match.
