TEENAGERS can show their latest moves when Northallerton plays host to a dance night at a mobile nightclub next month.
The initiative is the work of the Hambleton Community Safety Partnership, which is looking to provide safe meeting places for the under 18s.
The Snap dance night offers 12 to 17-year-olds dancing, fun and relaxation in a nightclub style environment - where no alcohol, drugs or tobacco are permitted.
Bands and DJ's promote drug, health and community information under the Snap Say No and Phone Crimestoppers banner at the dance nights.
The event, from 7.30pm to 11pm on February 6, sees DJ Leeroy Wilson, entertaining with Northallerton groups the Spiral and Velocity.
"The SNAP events are a first for Hambleton," said community safety officer, Patricia Thornton.
"They offer the under-18s a safe haven in which to listen to music as well as socialise with their friends."
Tickets, priced £5, from Hambleton, Stokesley and Bedale Leisure Centres, Thirsk Swimming Pool and the Galtres Centre, Easingwold.
