PLANS to introduce a one-way system in a Hartlepool street have met with a mixed reaction from residents.
Hartlepool Borough Council carried out a study into two accidents at the Queensberry Avenue and Elwick Road junction.
It found poor visibility at the junction and asked residents of Queensbury Avenue their views on a one-way system. Fourteen said they were in favour, 11 objected and nine did not reply.
Members of the council's regeneration and economy portfolio will be asked to implement the one-way system as a permanent scheme.
