PRODUCERS who attend the monthly farmers' market in Thirsk had such a bumper Christmas that they are having to miss a month while they re-stock.
The planned market in Thirsk, next Monday, which is held alongside the regular market, has been cancelled.
Members of the Northern Dales Farmers' Market initiative have said not enough members can attend, with many re-stocking and others taking a break .
Aly Thompson, from Hambleton district council, said that many members virtually sold out of goods during the festive period. Other farmers wanted a holiday break.
The next market will be held on Monday, February 9.
