Darlington Allstars: The Under-16s went through to the semi-finals of the League Cup after a nailbiting tie against Norton and Stockton.
They travelled to Norton and Stockton for their first match of the New Year in the League Cup and the game was evenly contested in normal time and this resulted in a 0-0 draw. In extra time, the Allstars scored the golden goal after an excellent free kick taken by Darryl Roberts hit the back of the net.
This was fantastic result for the Under-16s with fine performances from man of the match Marc Briggs in goal and Daniel Hewitson who captained the team to success, but once again a good all round team display. Darryl Roberts scored the only goal.
The Under-12s were also in Cup action against Marton at home and an excellent game was played in poor conditions. The Allstars stole an early goal after a break by Nick Stockport and an excellent one-handed save by keeper Jack Jinks kept them ahead. The Allstars scored again before half time, once again through some fantastic attacking football and finishing by Nick Stockport. In the second half, Marton pulled one back, but Nick Stockport broke free again through the centre and made the final score 3-1 to the Allstars and a Stockport hat-trick.
This was a good strong team performance and a well deserved victory.

The Under-13 Colts were hosts to Northallerton Juniors in the Alternative Cup and this was another nailbiting competition. The Allstars fought hard in this evenly contested game and went 1-0 up, but Northallerton pulled one back making the final score in normal time a 1-1 draw. The game went to penalties and the Allstars converted one penalty and Northallerton three. The final score including penalties was a 4-2 defeat but this was a good all round team performance by the Allstars.
Man of the match was Mark Ellerton scored and Thomas Haile converted the penalty.
The Under-15s rearranged their home game due to poor pitch conditions and travelled to North and Stockton for this weekend's league match. The Allstars started the first half with an excellent spirit and fought for every ball, covering the whole pitch and were 1-0 up at half time from a tremendous Jonathon Vinton goal.
The Allstars relaxed slightly in the second half and Norton stole two quick goals. Although the Allstars continued to play some exciting football, they could not pull the game back around and were unlucky to lose 2-1.
Man of the match was Richard Hughes for a fine centre of defence display.
The Under-11s were in Cup action against Marton Hall Drive. The Allstars worked hard and played with a good team spirit, against this strong organised Marton team, but the game ended in a 6-0 Marton victory. Man of the match was Jack Woodcock.
