A THEATRE group is celebrating 50 years in showbusiness this year with an anniversary pantomime.
Originally called Footlights, it is five decades since the Saltburn '53 Drama Group put on its first show.
From Thursday, people will be able to see actors from across east Cleveland in Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Spokesman Philip Thomson said: "This pantomime is to celebrate the turning of the 50th year, with Goldilocks as one of the focal points.
"There are quite a lot of references to gold, and this is a golden opportunity to come along and witness the magic of the theatre, particularly pantomime."
The show is at Saltburn Theatre, Albion Terrace, Saltburn, from Thursday to Saturday, January 24, with 2.30pm matinees on January 17 and 24.
Tickets are £4.50 for adults, and £3.50 for children. They are available from Kings newsagent's, in Saltburn, or by calling (01287) 622246.
