BOOKWORMS are being encouraged to vote for their favourite read in a competition.
From Wednesday to Sunday, January 25, people can log on to the People's Network Internet service at Darlington's Crown Street and Cockerton libraries to discover the shortlist for the WHSmith People's Choice Book Awards and vote for their favourite.
The contest offers eight categories of books, with five short-listed titles in each section. The public and celebrity judges have chosen the shortlists of five titles.
Lynne Litchfield, of Darlington Library, said: "Libraries linking with the WHSmith Book Awards is another great example of our users gaining know-ledge about books and using the Internet."
