SOME of the biggest names in American-style wrestling are to stage an electrifying night of action in Derwentside next week.
UK wrestling promoter WZW will stage the WZW Aftermath show at The Trades nightclub in Consett on Monday.
Topping the bill will be the world-famous tag team The UK Pitbulls, who weigh in at a massive combined weight of 60 stone.
The Pitbulls, who will be making their WZW debut when they take on The Nattrass Boys in the Inter-Promotional Tag Team Championship, are famous for their recent appearance on TV's Dirty Sanchez and have also appeared on MTV, Channel 4, BBC and ITV.
The bout is one of seven contests taking place on a night of high-energy action at The Trades.
WZW stars Enigma, Iceman and General Trent Steel will be in the ring - ready to rumble in front of what is expected to be a capacity crowd.
Also performing on the night will be Consett's own Bill Podmoore's Nose - the rock band who have recorded the WZW theme tune Light The Fuse.
The band will perform the song and play live in front of their hometown crowd during the interval.
Aftermath is the first time WZW has staged wrestling action in the town.
Doors open at 6.15pm in time for the first bout at 6.45pm.
Tickets are £7 for adults, £4 for children and pensioners or £18 for a family ticket for two adults and two children.
Tickets are available in advance from The Trades in John Street or on the door.
