THE family of a man who went missing eight days ago have appealed for him to call home.
Andrew Robert Thomas, 54, from Eaglescliffe, was last seen on Tuesday, January 6.
Now his mother and stepfather, Rosemary and Dennis Cook, have issued an appeal.
Speaking to The Northern Echo, Mrs Cook, 73, said her son moved to Eaglescliffe last year and previously lived in Luton with his former wife.
She said: "I'm beyond worry, I'm not really keeping it together at all. This isn't like my son at all and I know the police are very worried.
"His car is still here and he didn't take any clothes. If we could just get a message to him to call home."
Mr Cook said he had met Mr Thomas in the Green and Dragon pub in Yarm High Street at about 8.40pm on the day he disappeared.
Mr Thomas is 6ft 1in and has grey, wavy, receding hair and a moustache.
He was wearing a brown, leather bomber jacket, purple shirt and tie and navy blue trousers and shoes when he went missing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Yarm police on (01642) 302226.
