ADULTS across Darlington can enjoy new opportunities as enrolment for adult education gets into full swing.
Subjects on offer include basic pottery, creative textiles, computer courses, painting and German.
Courses usually run for eight weeks and many start this week at venues across the town, including Haughton Community School, Longfield and Eastbourne Comprehensive Schools and Heighington Village Hall.
Councillor Stephen Harker, cabinet member for education, said: "Now is the time to fulfil those New Year promises and learn something new.
"Adult learning can pave the way to new employment opportunities or create and develop new interests and pastimes."
The courses are funded and supported by Darlington Borough Council education department, its libraries and community learning service, and Tees Valley Learning and Skills Council.
