CONGESTION is expected on roads during a series of cross country races this weekend.
Hundreds of club athletes from across the North will converge on the Racecourse in Durham for the 21st running of the Cathedral Cross Country Relays, on Sunday.
The first competitors are expected to gather at the race headquarters, at Durham City Cricket Club, in Green Lane, alongside the Racecourse, from about 9am.
Races will take place over a 3,000-metre course from about 10.15am until about midday.
