County Cup, second round: It was a great day for Hartlepool Chester Hotel who travelled to West Auckland Queens Head to beat the holders 3-2.
The game started with chances at both ends. Chester Hotel took the lead when Michael Ford broke down the left, passed to Alan Hoey to finish well, Lee Keens then made it 2-0 from a 25-yard free kick. Queens Head pulled one back before half-time.
Peter Gayle in the Chester goal made two great saves. Halfway through the second half Queens Head levelled the scores.
The game looked like going into extra time when Bell flicked a header on to Michael Ross to race clear and put Chester into the last eight.
