meetings are being held in Hartlepool next week in a bid to shape revamps of two of the town's play areas.
A total of £140,000 has been earmarked for investment in the Seaton Park and Town Moor playgrounds and Hartlepool Borough Council officers want to know what improvements youngsters and their parents would like to see.
The meetings will enable people to give their views to the playground design company which has been brought in to carry out the revamp.
On Monday, Seaton Park will be discussed at Holy Trinity Primary School, Crawford Street, Seaton Carew, at 6pm and on Wednesday the meeting will focus on the Town Moor, in the Middlegate Room of the Borough Hall, on the Headland at 6pm.
About £90,000 is to be spent on Seaton Park play area, funded by the Tees Valley Single Programme and the council, while the £50,000 for the Town Moor playground is coming from the North Hartlepool Partnership.
James Gilchrist, who is the council's parks and countryside manager, said: "Both play areas are showing their age and are very much in need of a major revamp.
"Before we do anything, it is vital we know what local youngsters and their mums and dads would like to see from the improved playgrounds.
"We hope as many people as possible will come along to the special meetings, talk to the design company and help shape the improvement plans."
