A SCHOOL is running classes for parents to help them cope with difficult teenage years.
While much is made of how hard it is being a teenager, little attention is paid to how difficult it can be for parents.
The Hermitage School, in Chester-le-Street, is running informal groups for parents, to provide them with advice and support on most aspects of teenage life.
The aim is to help them improve communication in the family, gain new skills and chat about raising teenagers or encountering difficult behaviour with parents in similar situations.
Next week, the school is running two groups, which will meet for five weeks.
The first group will meet on Mondays at Gibside Communal Rooms, Chester-le-Street, from 10.30am to noon.
The second will meet on Wednesdays, from 7pm to 8.30pm at The Hermitage School.
Anyone interested in attending is asked to call Barbara Hewitt on (01207) 233338
