PANTOMIME performers celebrated the success of their production of Aladdin at the weekend.
Eight hundred people watched the performances by Guisborough Parish Pantomime Group last week.
The group, which has presented a pantomime every year since it was set up in 1975, has more than 20 members, and this year about 26 children, aged eight to 15, also took part.
Chairman Rex Broxham said: "We've not missed a year since 1975. The only glitch we had was in the 1980s when we lost a lot of costumes and props in a fire caused by vandalism and we had to rebuild the set.
"This is the third time we have performed Aladdin and this particular script gives an opportunity for quite a few of our younger members to have small speaking parts, and I hope this will encourage them to aspire to larger parts in the future."
The minimum age for membership of the pantomime group is eight. For more information call (01287) 637600.
* Guisborough Theatre Club is holding auditions for its spring production in the parish hall tonight at 7.30pm.
