DARLINGTON manager David Hodgson will put any moves in the transfer market on hold for at least another week.
Hodgson is expected to make a renewed move for Sunderland striker Neil Teggart.
But with no fixture this weekend - due to Northampton's involvement in the FA Cup - the Quakers boss will not use up a week of a loan move when the 19-year-old will not be required.
"I still have players in the mind but it would be pointless bringing anybody in this week," said Hodgson. "We're not really in a position to bring people in and not use them."
Hodgson saw a move for Teggart fall through last week after the Northern Ireland Under-19 forward suffered a hamstring injury.
However, the highly-rated youngster, top scorer for Sunderland under-19s last season, is now back in training and Hodgson will hope to land him in time for the visit of Rochdale a week on Saturday.
The Quakers boss will field a strong line-up for Sunday's Charity match at the Reynolds Arena. Joey Hutchinson and Chris Hughes missed the draw at Kidderminster through suspension and could figure.
"We can have a bit of fun and get ready for the hard work ahead," said Hodgson. "At least we know that we're going to get plenty of goals on Sunday!"
Midfielder Clark Keltie remains sidelined with an ankle injury, while goalkeeper Andy Collett is scheduled to return to action next month following a shoulder injury.
l Darlington Supporters' Trust hold a meeting at the Dolphin Centre tonight (7.30pm).
Admission is for members only, although supporters are encouraged to join on the night when the official launch of its fundraising campaign will take place. Members want to raise £250,000 by the end of March - the amount owed to the Inland Revenue.
l NEALE Cooper today turns his attention to filling the void left by the retirement of Marco Gabbiadini. After Hartlepool's second top scorer yesterday called it a day because of knee trouble, Cooper will look to boost his depleted strike force after losing three strikers since the start of the season.
Cooper has signed Australian Joel Porter on a short-term deal and he is likely to be offered a longer deal. Adam Boyd has returned to Pool after two months on loan at Boston, but Gabbiadini's exit leaves a big hole and Cooper admitted: "It's something we are constantly looking at. It will be difficult to get someone directly like him, but it's a situation we are thinking about. We've lost a couple and we need players who are capable of playing at this level and beyond."
