AN eye for colour has earned six-year-old Amy Gibson first place in an art competition.
The youngster, from Consett, won a creative colouring competition organised by Specsavers Opticians in the town centre.
Entrants were asked to brighten up Santa's outfit.
Amy's winning design was rewarded with cuddly toys and other gifts.
Colin Connor, director at Specsavers, in Consett, said: "We were delighted by the response from the kids. The standard of entries, detail and colour in the drawings was fantastic."
