A MINIBUS service is to be launched after a community group and a council successfully applied for a £42,750 grant.
The Government has allocated the money to the Future Regeneration of Grangetown scheme (Frog) and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
The money will be used over three years for a vehicle adapted for wheelchairs and a driver for 25 hours a week for people in Grangetown.
It can be used by people with mobility problems for journeys such as for medical appointments, shopping or social activities. It also links with the area's Shopmobility schemes.
Anyone in the greater Eston area can call (01642) 458535 to use the service. Volunteers are also needed to help out.
