AN art shop is dedicating its entire front window display to Darlington Football Club to help fundraising.
Ian Hughes, owner of the Art Shop, on Bondgate, has adorned his shop window with pictures of the club's last game at the old Feethams ground. The nostalgic display aims to encourage people to pledge their support for the Quakers.
All 25 photos were taken by Nick Blake, a member of the Darlington Supporters' Trust and life-long fan. He asked Mr Hughes if he would display the photos in the shop. He hopes supporters will order copies of the pictures and help to raise some of the £250,000 the trust wants to raise by March.
Mr Hughes said the pictures had attracted a lot of attention. "People were stopping in the street all the time on Saturday. Any support that can be given to the trust can only be a good thing."
