REGULARS enjoying their favourite tipple have been helping to make life better for patients at their local hospital.
Drinkers at the Leeming Bar Hotel have raised more than £825 over the past two years for the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton.
They put spare change in collection boxes and bought raffle tickets to raise cash to assist the hospital Friends.
Licensee Jenny Howells said: "We wanted to help a charity which benefits people of all ages and the Friends of the Friarage Hospital really fits the bill.
"Our regulars are very generous and happy to help out and I would like to thank everyone who contributed."
