Penalties were needed at Howden Australian where Crook White Swan were the opponents in the Albert Vickers Cup.
The Swan led 3-0 at half time but Australian came back to force extra time. John Conley grabbed a hat trick and goals from Kevin Burke and Chris Loughlan earned Howden a 5-5 draw. Chris Parkinson (2), Robert Punshion (pen), Stephen Carr and Shaun Nicholson replied for the Swan. Howden had a man sent off but took the penalties 3-2 when Shaun Nicholson missed.
Extra time was needed at Bishop Rugby Club before the home side came through in a very close game against Coundon and Leeholme Juniors. Alan Jones and Darren Slater both grabbed a brace and Michael Houlahan was also on target for the Rugby Club in a 5-4 victory. Anthony Sharpe and Shaun Tarling both scored twice for the losers.
Evenwood White Swan held a four goals lead from the first led when they visited Roddymoor in the Colin Waites Trophy. After a goalless first half the Evenwood played their best football of the season in the second and Neil Teasdale, Chris Coatsworth and Chris Howe gave them a 3-0 win.
Andy Lee gave Stanhope Town the lead at home to Byers Green St Peters in a first leg tie. The visitors then hit form and went 4-1 up through Christopher Pickles (2), Philip White and Anthony Binks. Both sides had a man sent off before Lee notched his second late on to make the final score 4-2.
