Newfit Services Willington: Hunwick Quarry produced a major shock when they travelled to Sunnybrow Brown Trout, who had led the table for most of the season, and won by three points.
The Trout had singles wins from Jason Martin, Stephen Longhorn and Trevor Allchurch, whilst Geoff Wilson, Dave Edmundson and Chris Lowe levelled.
Nigel Barker and Michael Pickles took a doubles for the home side but the Quarry went ahead with doubles from Brian McCabe with Jamie Wragg and Geoff Wilson with Chris Lowe. The Hunwick team completed an unexpected victory by taking the team game.
David Hawkins hit a maximum for the Lion and Unicorn, whilst Kenny Louth of Willington Cottles made the best check-out of the season with a 132 finish.
Willington Cottles lead the table by one point from Willington Lion and Unicorn, who are seven ahead of Byers Green Royal Oak and Sunnybrow Brown Trout A.

Tow Law Coors
Tow Law New Market A look to have the Championship sewn up but they could run into problems in the Captain's Table. At present they only lead Billy Row Club by one point and any major slip up could let in either Cornsay Royal Oak or Newhouse Club.

Crook Ladies League
Tow Law Black Horse were the only visiting team able to play their match because of the heavy snowfall because they only had to move across the road to their hosts at Tow Law North Point. The Point had singles wins from Jackie Laidlaw and Elizabeth McGurk, whilst the Horse moved ahead with singles wins from Lorraine Proud, Helen Snowdon, Gloria Jones and Susan Hind. The home side only managed to take one of the three doubles and also lost the team game. Val Fets was the match top scorer with a useful of treble 19s for a 171 for the Black Horse.
The late scorecard from Billy Row Royal George showed they beat the visiting Tow Law Station by three points.
Crook League
Belle Vue top both darts and dominoes tables. They hold a massive 26 point lead over Travellers Rest at darts whilst Mill House are four points in arrears in the dominoes section.
Joiners Arms top the second division darts league with Sunnydene second 14 points adrift. Royal George top the dominoes table.

Durham County
Durham once again had a favourable visit to Heavitree Sports & Social Centre in Exeter where they overcome Devon with a 15-21 victory and securing much needed bonus points to support their quest for promotion.
Saturday saw the Ladies B Team beat their rivals with a 6 - 0 victory with Susan Shepley taking the Lady of the Match Award. The Mens B Team drew 6-6 with Gerry Grieve securing his 3rd Man of the Match Award.
The Ladies A Team maintained the lead with a 4-2 victory with Linda Ithurralde securing the match award and being awarded the BDO Highest Lady Divisional average. The Mens A Team who are current divisional leaders were unlucky to lose 5-7. Phill Nixon was awarded the Man of the Match Award.
Durham's next match will take place on 14/15 February at Dawdon Social Club against Montgomery & Radnor.
