DETECTIVES were yesterday granted more time to question a suspect arrested in relation to the death of a man at his North-East home.
Colin Johnson was found dead in the living room of his house in Pickering Road, Pennywell, Sunderland, when his girlfriend visited last Saturday.
Police were alerted by a neighbour who heard the woman's screams at about 10.30pm.
A man was arrested on Monday evening by police, and was yesterday helping police with inquiries.
Detectives were granted a further 24 hours to question the man.
An appeal has been made to witnesses who may have seen anyone arriving at or leaving the house on Saturday night.
