POSTCARDS, photographs and the results of private research are part of a large donation of historical material that has been given to a library.
The material, from Stokesley Local History Study Group, will be added to the collection already in the town's library.
People from Stokesley and the surrounding villages will now be able to view it.
Councillor Carl Les, the county council's executive member for libraries, said: "On behalf of the county council, I am very happy to receive this wonderful addition to our local studies resources.
"I hope that those who enjoy using them may be encouraged to donate their own materials, either directly to the library and information centre, or by contacting Stokesley Local Study Group Secretary Christine Miller, on (01642) 700306."
The Study Group's annual meeting will be on Wednesday at 7.30pm in Stokesley Town Hall, and is open to all.
