SALTBURN teenager Daniel Neilson has secured a place at the National Blue Chip Show Jumping Championships with his novice pony Lets Go Rocky.
The Freebrough School pupil finished in an excellent third place on the six-year-old bay in a Kitt Sapphire junior qualifier at Arena UK in Lincolnshire.
The class attracted a strong field and the 13-year-old's high placing takes him on to the final at the Blue Chip Championships to be held at Solihull in the West Midlands in April.
Lets Go Rocky will also be aimed at Winter JC qualifiers, which lead to a final at the Royal International Horse Show this summer.
The highlight of Daniel's 2003 season was a trip to South Africa, where he rode in show jumping competitions as part of a British squad.
