Division One, Bedale FC 0, Nunthorpe Ath 2: The only first division game to survive the weather turned up a shock result.
Bedale entertained Nunthorpe Athletic who are at the wrong end of the table and a tight first half ended goalless.
In the second half again the match was even but all the action came in the last ten minutes when Simon O'Shea headed home to put Nunthorpe ahead. Bedale pushed forward but five minutes from time Nunthorpe's Steven Henderson scored.
Division Two
North Ormesby 10, Darlington Alb. 2
The match started at a fast pace and Andrew Lambert gave North Ormesby a lead. David Howe added their second five minutes later, before Kevin Baines pulled one back. Carl Wilson then opened his account with Michael Clark also scoring for North Ormesby to make it 4-1. In the second half the goals flowed again and Wilson made it 5-1. He then grabbed his first hat trick for North Ormesby, Phil Cox made it 7-1, Carl Brown added the eighth before Lambert made it 9-1. Kevin Baines pulled a second back for the visitors was then sent off before Lambert grabbed his hat-trick goal.
Teesside Ath 1, Dormans FC 2
Dormans took an early lead when a high ball into the Athletic penalty area was dropped by the keeper and Derek Bradley knocked home the loose ball. The home side were pressed back by the visitors and despite a number of corners and free kicks they failed to take advantage and went into the break in the lead by one goal. In the second half the home side pushed forward with the wind advantage and they drew level when Chris Ellis broke clear and beat the advancing keeper to make it 1-1. A few minutes later a good save by the Dormans keeper kept Kirk Forsyth from adding to his tally. The home side still pressed forward but were unable to break through again and in the 75th minute a cross into the Redcar side's area was converted by Steve Burns to give Dormans the lead. The home side pressed forward again but found the visitors' keeper in excellent form and slipped to a narrow defeat.
Teesside Link 3, Darlington SRM 2
Teesside Link took a 12th minute lead, Stuart Jackson on target. Darlington SRM drew level through John Myers in the 35th minute but Steve Hill regained the Link's lead just before half time. On the hour Steve Rodgers pulled it back level, but 15 minutes later Jackson secured the points for the hosts.
Whinney Banks 3, D'ton RA Res 1
Peter Clark gave Whinney Banks the lead and this was doubled by John Blamires. In the second half Whinney Banks never let the RA settle and in the 50th minute Craig Owens made it 3-0 before Carl Moss scored a late consolation.
North Riding County Cup round two
Stokesley SC (W) 2, Grange. BC 0
in a tight match played on a quagmire of a pitch Andy Sivells gave the Wearside League side the lead. In the second half the Boys Club pushed forward but found the home side's keeper in great form. Jonathan Newton scored to secure a berth in the semi-finals.
Kirkbymoorside 1, Richmond Town 0
on a heavy pitch both sides cancelled each other out and the match remained goalless. In the second half Richmond got well on top but couldn't score and were made to pay when a rash challenge by James Allis in the Richmond goal resulted in a penalty which John Phillips converted. Richmond pressed and created a number of chances but failed to convert any and bowed out.
