Spennymoor manager Tony Lee is hoping his team can turn the corner in the UniBond League Premier Division today against Runcorn.
A poor run of results after their last win at Southport in November, has seen Moors drop out of the play-off positions and if the run continues, they might find themselves in a relegation battle.
But Lee said: "We've strengthened the team in recent weeks and now is the time to start playing."
Lee will give new signing, defender Paul Talbot, his debut after completing his transfer from Scottish club Queen of the South.
He has also told Northern League clubs Dunston and Thornaby that striker Danny Brunskill won't be leaving.
Bishop Auckland take on Burscough tomorrow afternoon in their League Cup quarter-final at Dean Street.
Manager Brian Honour is almost certain to name an unchanged side, even though midfielder Nicky Scaife and striker Neil Maddison are available again.
"They might not get into the starting line up because of the way we've played in our last three matches," said Honour.
Whitby who play Droylsden in the league cup today, include Hartlepool youngsters Darren Craddock and Andy Appleby in their squad. Both have moved to the club on a temporary basis.
Craddock appeared for Pool in their FA Cup win over Harry Dunn's side in November.
