PEOPLE in east Cleveland are being invited to take part in Egyptian dance classes.
Jane Wass will teach six weekly sessions at Saltburn Leisure Centre, starting on Sunday, February 1, from 4pm to 5.30pm.
Ms Wass, who teaches the dance full-time, said: "The style I teach is traditional and classical, derived from the countryside in upper Egypt and the Cairo region. It is certainly not bellydancing."
She became hooked on Egyptian dancing while working for Granada Studios, in Manchester, which was filming a programme on the dance-form.
She said: "I started off with an interest and just got hooked very quickly. I have been dancing now for more than six years."
Places on the course are limited and cost £25 for six lessons. To enrol, call (0161) 882 0787.
