Over 14,000 fans turned out at the Reynolds Arena on Sunday for two charity matches to help save Darlington Football Club.
Paul Gascoigne, Kenny Dalglish and Chris Waddle were just some of the star names on show in two goal-filled games.
The cash-strapped Quakers were placed into administration before Christmas to save the club from a winding up order. The game was specially arranged by manager David Hodgson to help raise funds.
Sunday's attendance set a new record for the Reynolds Arena, beating the 11,600 gate in the first ever game at the stadium against Kidderminster in August.
And on gate receipts alone, the club's survival has been guaranteed for at least another two months.
