A CLINIC for organic farmers and growers to help them learn more about a government scheme has been organised.
The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is running the clinic at Askham Bryan College, York, so that farmers and growers can study the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS), which offers a new range of maintenance grants.
Keith Roberts, organics team manager with Defra's Rural Development Service, said: "Our role at these regional clinics will be to provide farmers and growers across England with the necessary information to be able to respond to the increasing demand for home grown organic food."
For details about the clinic, contact Defra on (01270) 754122.
