A TEESSIDE author has written his third book comparing his youth with the world today.
Jim Haggas, from Yarm, reflects on why his generation was born in the right place at the right time in An Ordinary Man.
The 72-year-old said he wanted to ask if changes in his generation's lifetime had been for the best and voice concerns for the future.
Mr Haggas, who examines things such as the cinema, dance halls and holidays, said: "I feel our cultural customs are sinking into oblivion, along with our identities, and I wanted to explore that."
He also wrote Christmas Island - The Wrong Place at the Wrong Time and Tide of Fortune, Tide of Change. All three books are available from Atkinson Print, in Hartlepool, on (01429) 267849.
