EAGLE-eyed David Cassidy is setting his sights on winning his Duke of Edinburgh gold award as an air cadet.
David, 17, from Shotley Bridge, near Consett, is a corporal with the 1409 (Consett) Squadron Air Training Corps and has used his time with the cadets to complete his Duke of Edinburgh silver award.
Over the past year, he has undertaken a walking expedition, earned his marksmanship award and learnt how to pilot a glider.
The cadets meet at the headquarters in Parliament Street, Consett, on Mondays and Fridays from 7pm to 9pm.
