A POLICE officer is aiming to fulfil one of his life's goals by creating a championship netball team.
Bryan Marsay is building up a force netball team at Cleveland Police.
The police officer with the prisoner handling team at Middlesbrough said from speaking to people at the town's police station it became apparent there was sufficient interest for a team.
There are now enough players for two teams, made up of officers and police staff, who are hoping to promote a positive image of Cleveland Police through sport.
Bells Stores has sponsored the teams and provided the players with sweatshirts, playing tops and bibs.
PC Marsay said: "This has given us a more professional image and more importantly, something to play in."
The aim is to build a side to complete in police sports competitions throughout the country.
