A TODDLER will have surgery this week to change her life.
Two-year-old Alice Skinner, who was born without kidneys, will have a bladder operation that will allow her to undergo a kidney transplant.
Her 30-year-old father, George, said: "Alice will spend two or three weeks in hospital after the operation and it is major surgery, but it's another step towards allowing our daughter to have her kidney transplant and a normal life."
Alice ges into Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary today and will have the bladder operation on Thursday.
Mother Nicola Andrews, 33, has been told she is a perfect match to donate a kidney.
