PEOPLE who want to lose excess pounds should volunteer to push trolleys in North-East hospitals, voluntary organisers said yesterday
The Women's Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS) is looking for volunteers to visit Sherburn House Residential Home, Durham.
The organisation said by pushing a trolley with confectionery, drinks and magazines for residents around the home, they could cover a mile in two hours.
The organisation runs the trolley service on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Volunteers, aged 14 or over, can contact the WRVS on 0845 601 4670.
