A SOLDIER is to be awarded a certificate for good service.
Sergeant Major Jonathan Carroll, of Cleveland Army Cadet Force, will be presented with the certificate by Lord Crathorne, Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire.
Sgt Maj Carroll joined the force in 1996 and is now company sergeant major in The Green Howards.
He was until recently the detachment commander of Nunthorpe School Green Howard's detachment.
Second in Command of C Company, Captain David Sexton, said: "Sergeant Major Carroll is equally at home in the field as well as the classroom and he invariably leads from the front.
"His enthusiasm, ability to set a good example and leadership talent makes him an exemplary member of the Army Cadet Force and a deserving recipient of the Lord Lieutenant's Certificate."
Cleveland Army Cadet Force is looking for adults, male or female, to train the cadets. No experience is necessary.
