FORMER England, Liverpool, Wimbledon and Spurs star John Scales went back to school to emphasise the role it can play nurturing footballers of the future.
The former pupil of Harrogate's Rossett High School, pictured above with students, has taken on an ambassadorial role with PlayStation 2, encouraging grassroots soccer around the UK. His school was chosen for a visit because of its specialist status in sport and for its two Gold Standard Charter Marks for Sport, achieved in 1999 and 2002.
The visit included an opportunity for players from Rossett's under-19 squad to ask advice from the former international and Premier League player.
The event finished with coaching session on the school's all-weather pitch.
