CHILDREN on Teesside were treated to a performance of Peter Pan yesterday as part of a series of events organised to encourage them to consider higher education.
Members of the University of Teesside's Meteor scheme, which aims to raise the aspirations of young people in the Tees Valley while at primary school, put on the play at the Middlesbrough campus.
Nearly 450 pupils from 11 primary schools in the area have taken part in fun and informative maths, science and computer activities this week in specially designed workshops.
Schools liaison officer Wendy Bell said: "The taster days are an informal way of introducing children to a modern university."
