The meeting was preceded by a two club and putter competition played over nine holes, after which the meeting in the clubhouse chaired by the Rabbits captain Kevin Clinton took place.

He commenced by announcing the winners of the afternoon golf who were as follows: 24 points Les Morley (25), 18 Sean Higgins (22) and Kevin Smith (12), 16 Derek Harle. Card countback required.

In his report the Rabbits captain also announced the winners of the Robert Riggs Trophy which had been played for over the summer, these were Les Morley and Ian Hodgson with David Hennesey and Simon Bishop as runners up. Kevin reported on the success of Bedale in the final of the Yorkshire Rabbits Winter League competition which had been played at Harrogate Golf Club between the winners of the two divisions namely Masham and Bedale. The Bedale team of Kevin Clinton and Bob Holmes had found themselves three down with five holes to play but managed to square the match on the 18th.

The Bedale pair then won the 19th to successfully retain the cup that the club won in 2002. Kevin Clinton apologised to the meeting for his long absence over the season due to ill health and thanked the vice captain Derek Harle for stepping into the breach at short notice which Kevin said must have been a success as out of 20 matches Derek captained he had won 18 halved one and lost one.

The secretary Bob Holmes' report was circulated and agreed. He reported that this years matches were included in the members' handbook which would be circulated shortly. He asked new members to become involved by putting their names down to play in matches. The accounts were circulated by the treasurer, John McAuley and were approved.

The nominations of officers for 2004 then took place as follows: Rabbits captain Derek Harle, vice captain Ted Secretary Robert Holmes, treasurer John McAuley. Committee G Wilkinson and D Parkinson.
